CUSTOM MOISSANITE HIP HOP JEWELRY · SHINING STAR
A dedicated designer helps shape your idea into a custom piece, from the first reference to an approved production sample.
Shining Star creates custom moissanite hip hop jewelry for brands, retailers and individual projects. Start from one piece; allow approximately 30–35 days for production after the design and order details are confirmed.

01 / KNOW YOUR MATERIAL
Moissanite is silicon carbide, a gemstone distinct from diamond. The moissanite used in jewelry is typically laboratory-created. Its appeal combines strong rainbow fire with high resistance to scratching.
Moissanite is not a lab-grown diamond. Diamond is carbon; moissanite is silicon carbide. Name the material clearly in product descriptions.
High hardness helps resist scratches. It does not mean a stone cannot chip, or that a finished setting cannot be damaged.
Moissanite produces more rainbow-colored fire than diamond. Size, cut and lighting influence how that effect appears in a finished piece.
Gemological reference:GIA’s introduction to diamond simulants. Material properties do not replace inspection of a finished piece.
02 / CHOOSE WITH CLARITY
Choose for your collection’s appearance and positioning. Ask for a quotation against the same dimensions, metal, setting and quantity before comparing finished jewelry costs.

Send a sketch, reference or CAD file with product type, dimensions, target quantity, metal, finish and intended delivery date.
Discuss stone layout, construction and branding. Agree on design fees, sample costs and the proposed specification before development.
Review CAD details and a physical sample where required. Check fit, weight, link movement, setting, color and clasp function; record revisions.
Confirm the approved sample and written specification, including tolerances, packaging, order quantity and inspection requirements.
Follow the agreed production schedule and inspection plan. Confirm any material or design changes before they are introduced.
Review the agreed pre-shipment checks, packing list and delivery arrangements. Transit and customs time are separate from manufacturing time.
Custom development begins with a reference image, sketch, physical sample or CAD file. Shining Star prepares the design for review, develops a physical sample when required, and records approved dimensions, metal, stone layout, finish, logo and packaging before bulk production. Materials, setting, polishing, plating and finished jewelry are checked against the approved product specification throughout production.
925 sterling silver and selected stones are checked before production. Moissanite orders use D-color, VVS-grade stones according to the approved specification.
Stones are secured through hand-setting or wax-setting methods. Jewelry is polished through rough, machine and hand-finishing stages to refine the surface and edges.
Available finishes include white, yellow gold and rose gold tones. The standard finish uses multiple plating stages followed by an e-coating layer.
The team checks stone security, plating appearance, dimensions, clasp function, quantity and packaging before dispatch, with production photos or videos available for order updates.
CERTIFICATES & COMPANY CREDENTIALS
Shining Star supports wholesale and custom projects with company qualifications and jewelry documentation relevant to international sourcing.
The company’s qualification portfolio includes ISO 9001 quality management certification, BSCI and Sedex social-responsibility credentials. These documents support customer review of quality-management and responsible-sourcing practices.

Practical answers for brands, retailers and wholesale buyers.
No. Moissanite is a different gemstone made of silicon carbide. Both natural and lab-grown diamonds are carbon. Describe moissanite accurately in your listings and customer communications.
Its strong fire and high scratch resistance make it an option for iced-out designs. The finished result also depends on stone matching, metal construction, setting security and how the piece is worn.
Ask the supplier which grading criteria and inspection method they use. A clarity label alone does not establish consistent color, cut quality, stone identity or the quality of the finished jewelry.
Yes. A dedicated designer can review your sketch, reference image or existing product and discuss the silhouette, dimensions, moissanite layout, metal, finish and logo details. CAD development and sample scope are confirmed for each project.
Yes. Custom orders can start from one piece when the applicable model fee is paid. The fee depends on the design and is quoted after the team reviews your reference. If no separate model fee is paid, the usual starting quantity is 50 pieces.
Allow approximately 30–35 days for production after the design is approved, the deposit is received and materials are confirmed. Shipping time is separate; the final schedule depends on the design and order details.

Shining Star offers a sample service. Agree on the sample fee, development scope, revisions and approval criteria before production. Keep the approved specification as the reference for the bulk order.
Discuss logo placement, artwork, packaging format and quantities with the team. Availability, minimums and charges are confirmed in the quotation.
Do not assume a report is included. Ask which documentation is available, who issues it, whether it covers individual stones or a sample, and whether additional fees apply.
Care for the complete piece, including its metal, plating and setting. Follow the supplier’s care instructions, avoid impacts and abrasive cleaning, and have loose stones or damaged settings checked before further wear.
